Remember all the wedding talks about having Jehovah as the third cord? When my wife and I got married, many Witnesses refused to come to our Wedding because she wasn't a baptized witness. Twenty years later we're still married while 6 couples in my congregation who had Jehovah as the third cord divorced.

CHASE
This passage from Ecclesiastes 4:12 illustrates the importance of Christian companionship. Two Christians that are bound together in Christ are stronger than the individuals themselves. We believe that Christian marriage is about more than the union of one man and one woman. The Bible teaches us that God performs a miracle in our marriage, uniting us together in a covenant relationship with Him as one. The Cord of Three Strands is a symbol of that sacred union created on your wedding day.

My cousin went to Canada in February to meet a Witness sister who is scriptually divorced from her husband. They found that they liked each other enough to continue a relationship.. ( He lives in the United States) He went back to Canada 19 days later to ask her in marriage.(She said..... YES!)
Here is our conversation:
Cousin: Did you hear the news?
Me: Yes! You met a sister in Canada. I'm happy for you!
Cousin: Actually, I went there to ask her if she would like to get married!
Me: Wow! .......Isn't that kind of soon? You only met her less than a month ago!
Cousin : Well...it's kind of hard to date someone that lives so far away. I found that she is a really good spiritual sister. We know that everything will work out if Jehovah is in the middle!
Me : That's good! But haven't you seen all the divorces in our congregation? There's been at least 6 divorces in our congregation alone. They all had Jehovah in the middle!
Cousin: They had Jehovah in the middle but never made him the third cord!
Me: People who marry in the same religion divorce just as much as couples who have different faiths!
Cousin: That's true! But,the only Jehovah's Witnesses who divorce are brothers or sisters who don't make Jehovah their third cord. They really weren't true Witnesses if they divorce!
HOPE THIS MARRIAGE LASTS!

Thank you everyone for your comments! MrsJones......here are the lyrics to the song which i've heard a hundred times but really hits me in the face reading them! "Smiling Faces Sometimes"
Smiling faces sometimes pretend to be your friend
Smiling faces show no traces of the evil that lurks within
Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes
They don't tell the truth uh
Smiling faces, smiling faces
Tell lies and I got proof
The truth is in the eyes
Cause the eyes don't lie, amenRemember a smile is just
A frown turned upside down
My friend let me tell you
Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes
They don't tell the truth, uh
Smiling faces, smiling faces
Tell lies and I got proofBeware, beware of the handshake
That hides the snake
I'm telling you beware
Beware of the pat on the back
It just might hold you back
Jealousy (jealousy)
Misery (misery)
Envy I tell you, you can't see behind smiling faces
Smiling faces sometimes they don't tell the truth
Smiling faces, smiling faces
Tell lies and I got proof
Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes
They don't tell the truth
Smiling faces, smiling faces
Tell lies and I got proof
(Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes)
(Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes)I'm telling you beware, beware of the handshake
That hides the snake
Listen to me now, beware
Beware of that pat on the back
It just might hold you back
Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes
They don't tell the truth
Smiling faces, smiling faces
Tell lies and I got proof
Your enemy won't do you no harm
Cause you'll know where he's coming from
Don't let the handshake and the smile fool ya
Take my advice I'm only try' to school ya -

My uncle soon called my aunts, uncles, and my mom and dad. Soon we all started a Bible study and within a 5 year period we were all ( 12 family members) baptized. ( This was our first organized religion our whole family ever joined )
I always thought to myself.....''Out of all the religions in the world, we found the ''truth'' without ever having to research any other religion.''
Now,I want to know why out of all the religions in the world we chose the Jehovah's Witnesses. I wish to ''thank'' my uncle who joined this stupid religion and for never doing any research on the Jehovah's Witness religion. ( A religion that is easy to join but hard to leave on your own terms)

Blondie's Comments You Will Not Hear at the 03-13-2011 WT Study (MARRIAGE)

The whole study could have been summed up with only one sentence,''The only way to a successful marriage is only if both partners are dedicated Jehovah's Witnesses."
PARAGRAPH 4 SHOULD READ:
4 At times, even some too many of God’s people Jehovah's Witnesses lose clear sight of Jehovah’s view of marriage.
SomeToo many Christian couples decide to separate, or they divorce without having Scriptural grounds to do so.
(Just commit adultery and get a divorce and get reinstated two years later with new partner)
My cousin went through a messy divorce 2 years ago with her Ministerial Servant husband who took off with his work partner and hasn't seen his children since. He has only paid 2 months of child support in the 24 months. How come this wasn't reported in the Watchtower study? Instead,we get the made up story of Danny and Trina.

I committed un-suicide yesterday
by AlmightyDog inyesterday i opened my wallet and took a long look at the (no) blood card prominently displayed inside.
i have been convinced that this is not the truth for a couple of years now, and am trying to figure out whether to fade or da.
it hit me hard yesterday that with this piece of paper in my wallet, i could possibly end up dying for beliefs i no longer hold.

My mom was in the hospital 2 years with internal bleeding and a very low blood count. The Doctor was told by my mom and the HLC members that no blood was to be used if a blood transfusion was needed. I told the Doctor that there was no way my mom would change her mind about accepting a blood transfusion and that she was prepared to die since she was a Jehovah's Witness. I respected her wishes. I didn't agree with her decision but it is her life and that she has a right to her beliefs.
Luckily she stopped bleeding and left the hospital after 2 weeks.

I heard it with my own ears during a public talk ......... ''Anyone who does not report field service will not be in the Book of Life.''
Since I don't do any dirty work for the WTS( Peddle their books and magazines),they kicked me off to the side of the road.

My fading started around 10 years ago when Mr. Self-Righteous Elder walked past me while passing out the NO BLOOD CARD. They were handed out only to baptized members and members who reported a monthly service report. If you were an un-baptized publisher you were also handed one only if you were approved by the Elders.I was baptized but not handing in service reports for years.
Who made him boss? What did it matter to him if I received one? Since I was baptized,I had a right to receive the NO BLOOD CARD as anyone else.
After that episode,I knew that the WTS was all about rules and regulations and not about Jesus and the Bible. My fade is almost complete.
